Fall Yellows, Oranges, and Of Course- Pumpkins!!!...... 10/19/17
Corn mazes, pumpkins, and hayrides- oh my! That’s the fun of fall! Fall is one of my favorite seasons and for good reasons. All the things I love come with fall. Cold weather, warm drinks, boots & sweaters, and of course costume play and candy! Plus there is tons of good food, and feels up the ying-yang!
Last week I got the pleasure of traveling to Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, CA. The annual harvest festival was happening that day, so hay rides, getting lost in corn mazes, and pumpkins were of abundance. My thought of the day was: SO MANY PUMPKINS- SO LITTLE TIME! There were tons everywhere and of all shapes and colors! It was so exciting! I saw so many I had never even known existed! During the wintertime, they have a Christmas tree festival so I’ll definitely find my way back to this farm in December! Stay tuned! When it is not operating as a fall or winter destination, it is just your everyday farm- selling all different types of produce at amazing prices! I tried gooseberries for the first time and they were incredible and so fresh! Everything is coming right from the farm, so you can really taste the freshness at first bite. If you live in LA, or any of the surrounding areas and get a day off, make sure you head to this farm before the season is over. You wont regret it and you definitely won’t leave without picking up some pumpkins, fresh produce, or Indian corn for your fall tablescape!
