Proud to be an American.... 07/03/17
One day before the 4th of July and I am feeling calm, cool, and collected because I finally, for once, actually, have my outfit picked and ready to wear. Choosing an outfit for a major occasion (yes, the 4th is a MAJOR occasion) is always a great feat for me. This year I got proactive and decided to conquer this problem of mine head on!
For this fun summer holiday, I decided to keep my look tres-casual yet tres- chic! Centering it on three specific colors: RED, WHITE & BLUE! I am enamored with denim dresses lately so this overall style was an outstanding addition to my already overstuffed closet. I love the distressing details throughout this dress, they make me feel extremely on trend and edgy. I added a nice bright white long sleeve tee- to keep my look cool through the day, and keep me covered for the chilly night by the beach. Adding my pop shoe, which of course had to be red, I chose my comfiest, most enduring all day slides. I finished this no-frills look off with a nice big white bucket bag to hold all of my 4th of July necessities. These include: a bathing suit, sparklers, and maybe a few ice cold adult-natured drinks.
If I had to choose one color that really overtook this years holiday look, it definitely had to be white. White bag, white top, even white toes! I am looking forward to spending this sunny day with friends and family, including my little pup, Ren, who is really not so little (30 lbs!). What are you wearing for the 4th?
